Mozambique has world-scale gas offshore and a northern grid that cannot yet absorb industrial load. The constraint is not resource but delivered, firm power and the infrastructure that carries it. It is the sector where the firm's holdings and development work are most concentrated.
We hold a shareholding in an energy development company and we sponsor two of the five revenue centres within the Nacala Next platform. Our role is origination, position-holding and development sponsorship. We do not present ourselves as the engineering, construction or operating party: those roles are held by partners selected for capability. We fund early development at our own risk and retain a long-term interest in what is built.
